Yes. In fact, there are some contracts that are specifically set aside for minorities.

 

dont forget the Women, they get preference. Also, economically hit impoverished areas, those people residing a defined zipcode may rcvg special preference...im just saying after seeing an opportunity to flex the 'ol grey matter...eh, dont slow me down.

 

A Black, Disabled, Veteran Woman will be at the top of the list. A White, Disabled, Veteran Woman is next. Then a Black Veteran Woman. Then a White Veteran Woman. Then a Black Woman. Then a White Woman. And so on, and so on, until you get to the White, Rich, Healthy, Non Veteran Man, who is at the bottom of the list. I have seen companies that will front a minority woman to get the advantage in getting US Government contracts. She will be a figurehead paid a small salary to use her name.

 

I have known instances of similar situations.

I know what some of the outfits around here have done, from small one truck o/o to fairly large companies, is to set the company up in the name of the wife. Even if the husband is the only one who is involved in it. Fraudulent? Of course, but this is UTAH land of the rip off, home of the "saved."
