    do the pre trip like you done for your cdl. tom the safety guy in sealy is a real good guy he will be fair but by the book. dont forget the dvr book and inspection on trailer.

    Hi. I have a phone interview tomorrow AM for the Lewiston ME DC. I am told this is a grocery DC. Can anyone tell me the basic difference between a Gen Merc DC and a Grocery DC? I.E-start times/work week schedule/ income. This tread as been a big help for me and I appreciate all the info. Thanks drozzer69 and everyone else!

    Only difference I know of is you are domiciled out of that facility which does grocery loads ie: dry goods, frozen and dairy and meat and produce loads. Not sure of gate times and programs there. You will run New England area and possibly pull some GM loads. Income I would imagine would be from 76k on the low end up to 90k on the high. More stops with the grocery loads.     The guys that I know who switched to the Grocery DCs when that all started are still hauling groceries..............that should ease your mind.
