too true, at first I was like "yaay black, my favorite" until summer time. Apu can only do so much. Still looks clean though!

I talked to my rep the other day wanted to start choice on 1/5 in charlotte. I was told they were no trucks till 1/12 i could start then in charlotte for orientation.
-
cant they just send you for a truck somewhere else? -
5 dollar a miles? dang. how far you run? -
I live just 45 mins from charlotte and im getting a new freightliner. She said they would be some new ones come in on the 12th in platinum color. Didnt care what color but they reserved me one. I emailed her about any used t680's in green bay never got a response.
-
oh k hope you get one tho. what year truck you was looking to get? -
They will lease you a brand new Freightliner Evolution for 1 year but not an upgraded truck -
oh k but with a new truck that's. a lot of payment you cant pay off a new truck in 1 year. -
has anyone re-up'd a one year lease at the residual amount..curious as to what that did to your truck payment and maintenance fund..I need to know how much this truck will cost to keep it throughout the lease till I own it..considering buying one elsewhere but not crazy about throwing 15,000 down

I didn't, but had the option to. I started with a 1 year lease on a used Cascadia valued at $80k. At the end of the lease I owed $54,000. They gave me a few options:
Get a check for the $10k I had in the maintenance account, renew the lease for 2 years, get title at end of 2 years, payments were $574/week
OR
Put the $10k in the maintenance account down on the truck, renew lease for 1.5 years, get title at the end of 1.5 years, at $610/week
After the 1 year I didn't have to do a SFI-required maintenance account since I had shown that I could manage that myself without contributing to SFI's managed account.
My previous TRUCK payment for the 1 year lease was $693/week, so it would drop to $574/week or $610/week depending on which I chose. I decided to turn it back in and bought my own truck with a payment of around $100/week, lol.
