I have C15 6nz engine in my truck and oil capacity it's little under 11 gallons or 41 liter. I have 1.3 mil. miles and all engine parts it's original except water pump and non stop I put 10 galons of oil and 1 gallon of lucas oil additive, and my average mpg it's 6.6 mile. Sommer it's 6.9 winter it's 6.3 and I driving from VT over NY and PA with 40000 lbs average and midwest and back about 30000 lbs. Every 15 k miles had oil change. This it's how I driving this truck, with cruise control set 63 to 64 mile/hours, when give to driver tuck and hi drive above 65 mile/hours mpg drop to average 6.1 mpg under the same load or so, and if you drive 63 to 64 miles/hours I don't need to look oil on dipstick until another change his level it's close to minimum about 1 gal. of oil he loose for 15ooo miles, if you drive above 65 miles/hours you need to add about 7000 miles 1 galon of oil.

If you have access to a program the oil pan capacity is on the last line in the engine parameters section, you have to watch Cat put a lot of different dipsticks in there engines. some as high as 53 liters, from memory the pan level is 32 quarts is the full mark.
I tried looking it up in the manual but as usual Cat likes to keep secrets -
04 BXS ACERT C15 in mine takes 11 gallons to fill.

You could always call Cat with your serial and arangement number, and get the correct answer over filling the oil level costs you a lot of resistance as the oil is splashed around were it is not suppose to be, that costs you a lot of extra fuel burn.
At a Cat course I went to on the "E"'s it stated that on the first oil change you were to do a full valve set and look at the page with the paramaters and set the oil pan level. Like I said I have seen them with the wrong dip sticks, all the way up to 53 liters to fill on a change and it was only suppose to take 36 quarts complete fill with the filter.W903B Thanks this.
