Well the SFI agent laughing on the phone at the situation kind of says it all for me.

blue cross blue shield will,I know because I use to take Chantix.Since I don't have a regular doctor I was going to walk in clinic.Laws concerning this must have changed since when I was on it.That was 2 yrs ago.

I thought about calling out the part about insurance companies giving it away...

I worked in a pharmacy and handled the meds and so on prior to this. Most Insurance doesn't pay because there's not solid-enough proof to them that it works. Personally I've never seen a patient complete therapy of chantix and quit, and I worked in that pharmacy for 7 years...

I was shut down in November at my last company after I went in for a physical because I let my cpap usage fall. And according to ooida there are no regulations enforcing a mandatory 70% compliance. They told me how is a nurse or doctor that isn't my primary care physician whether or not I need 50% or 100% on usage. They only shut me down. I wasn't fired. Schneider didn't give me the option of shutting down for a week. They fired me.

When it comes to quit smoking no drug, patch whatever will work unless you want to quit.I was surprised my insurance company at the time paid for the drug. Its probably changed now.

Yeah, that's why I don't deal with SFI any more. Separate entity from the folks at SNI.

It's a crappy situation. On one hand it sucks that SFI let you out of the gate with a lease truck without catching this.

On the other hand, you also bear responsibility for not having a complete understanding about how taking that medication could affect your LEGAL ability to operate a CMV.

Good luck to you in the future however, I hope you can work something else out with whatever company it may be.

Yeah, I got the script and my ins at the time said no, you have the quitline available to you!!

whatever, it was so expensive I ended up finding a way to start this and then got a discount card from the manufacturer for like 6 months. still was north of 200 for a month. expected to be on for 6 months. NO! successfully quit after month and a half.

    dieselfuelonly Thanks this.

Like every other company they don't care and never will. They could have worked with u on this rather then leave you stranded and not even lifting a finger to do anything about it.
