Well... here's the copy from the story...
"Officials from Cumberland Goodwill EMS and Yellow Breeches EMS said they did not transport anyone to the hospital from Wednesday morning's South Middleton crash.
Two vehicles were involved in the crash at York and Springville roads."
No one died but obviously the dump driver was injured. There is an intersection there but I couldn't tell from the story or pic who might be at fault
Why do we need seatbelts?

I too have always wondered about seatbelts in a big truck. If one wears a seat belt and rolls the truck and trailer over and the load of whatever comes crashing forward, could the authorities tell if the driver was killed by the impact, or the 44,000 pounds of product that landed on them, while strapped in?

I had actually started wearing my seat belt back January of 1980, and here's why. I had just purchased a brand new Chevy C-10 stepside, all basic, no frills, not even an AM radio. Ok, GM had an "insurance policy" for you, that if you were in a wreck and died, while you were buckled up, they would pay your estate $10,000. So I thought, why not buckle up. Been doing it ever since then, and never needed some lawmaking politicians to make it a law to wear them. The only "dumbness" I ran across a long time ago, was some jackwad in Congress maybe or some insurance idiotic lobbyist, wanted us motorcyclists to have seat belts as well. Thankfully, that never became to be. But however, they also wanted air bags on bikes, and by golly, some DO HAVE air bags!

Americans are a stupid people as a whole, that's why we have to have laws that mandate seat belt use and other things that should really be common sense.

My last Prostar had the Onguard and I didn't know it'd hit the jakes and brakes with the cruise off. That seat belt dug in and held me in the seat, ( I didn't brace my arms).
And I wasn't about to hit anything.
Another driver hit the windshield when his did it, he's a I don't need no seat belt man.Pinqui Thanks this. -
I am not so certain a seat belt would save my life in certain types of wrecks. My truck would probably smoosh like a wad of paper. I've seen enough wrecks where you know the driver died anyway. I wear a seatbelt because it's easier to maintain control of my truck if I am still in the seat. Go down fighting, baby!

I have to agree with the people against mandatory seat belt use. Many years ago people that had poor decision making skills like not wearing seat belts, not wearing a motorcycle helmet, etc were more likely to die early and not pass their genes on to the next generation, making the world a little smarter. Now that people are mandated to make better decisions the gene pool is getting a little polluted.

My buddy is a cop in my town. Showed me some pics of a girl who hit a tree. Her breasts and face were ripped off and she flew out of her sneakers. They said she probably would have died anyways from the blunt force causing her brain to separate from the stem even if she was wearing her belt. It was a high speed impact.
I hated seat belts until I had my first child and he started asking how come he had to wear a belt and not me.
A few months ago I took it off while driving to get my little knife out of my pocket. It has a toothpick in it. I picked my teeth and I was like, WOW, this is so nice not wearing it but I put it back on. -
Face and breasts ripped off... Coroners must have some crazy dinner conversations.

Just be careful to re-buckle if you're a KS or OK toll road cash customer [some need to un-buckle to get their wallet out]. Those state police love to sit at toll booths looking for no seat belt, and it's low hanging fruit at these locations.
Skydivedavec, Pinqui and tsavory Thank this.
