Back at Jurupa Valley after driving my car to San Jose and back to visit family. Made a few hundred at a good poker game.
The terminal is a fuster cluck. Trailers parked between rows. I'll wait a while before searching for an empty. Have a drop and hook this evening, headed to Virginia.

Yep ... your DPF system is due for service ... The DPF needs to be baked and flow tested, the DOC and DOZR cleaned, the EGR tubes cleaned and the sensors cleaned and replaced as needed.
Problem is the Swift shop doesn't do any of that ... just get rid of the codes and move on. If they clean the DPF at all, their method is to take it out and bang it against the shop floor until stuff stops falling off.
Home for 2 weeks during the holidays. Fiscal year is officially done ... will spend some time pulling my data together for taxes. PnL is already done.HousTank Thanks this. -
We'll see what happens when I put it in the shop tomorrow.
The fault codes says 'Aftertreatment Intake NOx sensor/circuit' are bad and shorted.
Luckily there were still spots open here at the TA East in Denver. After my long unload at MillerCoors I pulled in here with 6 minutes left on my 14.HousTank Thanks this. -

Here back in London, OH again and SITTING. The planner who tells me on the phone that this is actually his first day planning alone, well not sure what happened but no load for me. The best that he has for me is 1300 tomorrow, dry load to Pittsburg and back. I am due home for the first time in 4 weeks on Monday so this means that when I get back tomorrow just go home because they can not use me and get me home on Monday. The worst part, I am 50 miles away right now from home and when I find this out I only have 30 minutes on my 14. I am seriously thinking about back to OTR. All that I asked for was 2100 miles per week with 15 additional stops, like I was told would not be a problem. I was only planning on being home 1 night. The only reason that I got this one was because the normal driver that hauls it is going to be off tomorrow. If not for that then I would have been sitting until Sunday night. Oh, the planner tells me that no load because not much coming out after 0100. My PTA was 2200. He says that he is going to talk to the account mgr on Monday and see if can resolve this issue before I bail.

Here in London as well, at the TA
Well that isn't good. I was about to call and see if I could snag a quick solo run tonight while my student sleeps so that I'm not bored. We will be running teams starting tomorrow. It is rewarding seeing how a student develops. It's like my baby bird is getting ready to fly soon.
The hard part is over, now it's just refining skills and a few more advanced topic lessons as the week goes by.Lepton1 Thanks this. -
Hey, also here at the T/A

Got to the terminal early this afternoon and showed the service desk guy the fault codes. He said they could do it in the shop and would probably have it done tomorrow evening.
So I got a room at the Super 8 for a couple nights.
I'll see my girls tomorrow and I can't wait. They all need some more Christmas presents.
I'm actually on 'the load that gets me to my requested home time'.
It delivers on 1/2 - in Denver. A load of pallets. A t-call load from the terminal. I 'picked it up' just before I put my truck in the shop.
My requested home time is for 1/1.
So unless I can deliver it early, I'm pretty much stuck here for the week.
Too bad I am so short on money right now.HousTank Thanks this. -
TA in Franklin, TN after spending the week at mom's. My DM had to me go from Dalton, Ga to Cleveland, TN to get an empty before I drove the 124 miles here so it would be easier to get me a load out, then tells me yesterday I can't be paid for those miles. Had I known that I would have bobtailed here instead of dragging an empty through the mountains to get here. Oh well, looks like a pickup in Murray, KY going to Augusta, GA, not too bad.
