I really do respect you guys. You guys are great but you all have one very bad apple out there.

    Background:

Around April I was traveling south on 95 heading to my new Unit down at FT Stewart GA. I stopped at an exit in SC. I went to a denny's to grab some grub while I waited for repair. I ran into this driver (Mr Dave ) driving for Bonus from what he told me who started to talk to me. I was in my uniform for the service. He seemed like a nice guy but as the conversation went along I realized he has a problem. He started telling me how he has been in accidents in his truck from lack of sleep and blammed it on the other truck driver involved, He said he got away with it. He also told me how he uses the company gas card to fill his diesel pickup POV and buy oil so he can do oil changes on the same truck. (To me that is stealing). He asked me if I wanted to buy some Perdue chicken, He stated he had alot on the back of his trailer and it was extra.

This guy seemed very sketchy. He smelled like beer. I watched as he went back out to his truck. It was yellow and had a perdue trailer. I don't know what to do. I would not have a person like this working for me. I have been in the Military for a long time and feel yall needed to know what one of your fellow drivers was doing.

If you guys know who to contact about this matter feel free to do so I have no idea who to contact.

pretty much truck drivers are like the rest of society
we have the good bad and the ugly

you run into the bad you get his truck number and if you
think it is important enough you call his co safety dept

Screw safety if he smells like beer I'm calling DOT with his company name, truck number, trailer number, name if I caught it, and destination.

Call the police...he has NO business being behind the wheel of a truck much less a motor vehicle!

Drinking beer + getting behind the wheel of a truck = PAINFULLY STUPID. its funny because I used to hear drivers bragging that they went to a brewery to pick up a load of beer, then bought a bunch of it for themselves ,sticking it in their sleeper writing a bill of lading for it thinking that will make it look legal. actually, there is something in the regs saying it has to be in the trailer and manifested as part of a shipment, unfortunately some knotheads think there is some loophole that doesn't exist.
