The blue cool looks awesome, but (to my knowledge) no one sells it yet. I will be first in line when it is actually on the market. If im wrong, let me know where to buy it.

Battery pack based systems are crap, in my opinion. Had a company truck that had the Tripac-E unit, which is similar and I hated it. If you need to reset in your truck, you will need to run it to charge the battery pack. Pretty much negates the fuel savings when you need to run the engine to charge the system.
You'd be good to get a nice used tripac considering the trucks age. Awesome little units. Mine keeps my batteries charged while I have my computer running to watch movies, keeps the engine warm up to a point. They do have their limitations. -
The wabasto will actually shut off before the batteries get too low, and warn you to charge it, doesn't it? I've used an older version about 3 years ago, but I believe that's how it works. Even has a fan setting on it which is all you should need unless you're playing in the 100's.

They use a separate battery pack that's isolated from the trucks batteries except for charging purposes. You can drain those dead and still have power to the truck. A few of our trucks have them and the guys hate them.
I'm sure they will shut down before the battery pack drains enough to damage it. The Tripac-E had a level display so you know what you have left.Battle Born Thanks this. -

Bought a HP2000 new in august.Has been nothing but problems and now the place that builds them will not stand behind them it has a little over 600 hrs. on it.I am not the only one that has had problems with this company.Went to a service shop in west virginia for the unit and the shop foreman told me I wont work on it I cant get Parks to repay me for warranty work. And this is not the only person I have heard this from I have heard a lot of bad things about them.I wish I had never bought this thing really sucks to be making payments on something you cant use.
