    Anyone have a 2009+ Kenworth with an Cummins ISX that has a Pyrometer/EGT Gauge installed from the factory.. My dealer is saying that it isn't an option because of the regen systems.. I don't see how the regen is an issue seeing as how the hi temps take place about 3inch's behind the turbo.

    Have not seen a pyrometer installed from the factory since they have started installing the regen systems. Really there is no need for one anymore. The engines are smart enough to monitor exhaust gas temperatures and protect themselves so why would you want one?

    i plan on doing the block/alter sometime in the next year or two.. all of the info i've read says that once you remove the exhaust gas from the intake the exhaust temps will rise, so i was trying to prep for it by getting a pyrometer. I want to try to keep it as factory as possible, or at least make it look as factory as possible.

    would anyone happen to have the part numbers for the probe and gauge from a year without the regen stuff?

    ...bump... I have a '14 glider would like to add a pyro that matches all the new dash KW gauges...

    I'm memory serves correct it you install gauge and connect jumper to it. Sometimes it will already read, or go into cab controller and it will get temp reading from exhaust temp sensor from engine ecm. That is how I've seen all factory with dpf.
    For systems without temp sensor from factory they are wired to v
    Cab controller and cab controller goes through data link to tell gauge what to read

    I don't believe there is a factory gauge for a newer paccar truck.

    We have an 06 and 07 with new style dash that has a pyro gauge. It is not a "smart" multiplexed gauge.

    Here, use this vin "184711", it belongs to an 07 W900l with a cat engine. A dealer can get the gauge.

    Thanks for the info guys. I found some more info about my boost gauge that had me going a different direction (Teltek) but I just can't get over how proud they are of those dang things. ($577 plus shipping for 3 gauges) So basically with a KW glider powered by a 12.7, the electronic multiplexed gauge will NEVER display more than I believe 32 psi, despite them easily making more than that rolling right out of Fitzgerald. The 12.7 computer can't see more than that. So does anyone have a VIN or P/N for a new style dash matching mechanical boost gauge? Does that exist? Also fuel pressure...does the DDEC IV monitor that? Is a mechanical gauge available for that from KW?
