THANK YOU GAS HAULER! If you had not said it, I would have. I'm going to walk away now, and come back to this later. Perhaps I can look at it a bit cooler after I've had a chance to think about it!:biggrin_25510:

I just recently applied and was accepted at A company, I have a recent at fault accident from this year in Janurary for rear end collision i was still accepted and i leave the 2nd for training. I do not have a CDL. Just keep looking, there are companys out there, but also as others have stated if you state "fell asleep" they more then likely throw a big red flag.

I wouldn't say that, i'm sure you are being sarcastic but when filling out an application from my experience as a supervisor and just regular employee in different fields NEVER lie as they will always find out and it will come back to bight you in the ###. Now doesnt mean you have to go into big details on what happens but if your ticket/accident report only states swerved/or hit a park vehicle then just state that. They wouldn't know anything else unless you say it. just my .02 cents

Are you sure you got hired? You still might have problems when you go and get your permit. I know I sure would check it out before I laid any money down. You must mean you got accepted to their school. A company is not going to hire you for a driving position if you do not have a CDL. Schools have one agenda and that's to get your CDL. Even if you're going to a Mega company school. You're making them money by your contract to work. Some drivers like that kind of work but the way it looks I don't think you did much research before you signed the line. I hope it works for you. There's nothing worse than doing a job and hating it. Good luck.

OK, so you got lucky with this! I feel real strongly about this, as I have lost two friends in law enforcement, (one a Coachella City PD officer, and one a CHP Traffic Officer in California,) killed in this exact same manner. In fact, the PD officer was killed when a DRUNK MEXICAN NATIONAL, driving a hay truck, without a license of any type, slammed into his car, on a traffic stop. All emergency lights on his cruiser were operating at the time. The Chippie was killed beside the road up on US 395 when he had stopped to help a disabled motorist!) And I can’t count the times I have almost been run over at accident scenes or traffic stops!
Complete BS that you didn’t care to fight? Dude, the only BS here, is YOUR ATTITUDE! You got a ticket after YOU moved out of your lane of travel AND HIT SOMETHING! The fact that nobody happened to be in the car, had nothing at all to do with YOU! It could just as well have been an entire family that was pulled over so the driver could catch a little shut eye before continuing on down the road!
Or maybe a kid on a bicycle, (and don’t give me any crap about the time of day, (or night,) kids are out on bikes at all hours anymore.)
They don’t want you, because your story is pure horse crap, and they recognize your attitude as being one of blaming everything and everybody else, rather than accepting responsibility for you own actions!
And here is where the horse crap I was talking about comes from! NOT AT FAULT? Did that copper issue that ticket to you because you were “not at fault?”
This is too recent. You are too young for the majority of driving jobs, per the trucking company insurance carriers.
OK, I can appreciate that. But you are still putting forth the “kid persona.” You need to first off, get a couple of more years on you, (time will take care of that,) move a bit further away from the accident, AND KEEP YOUR DRIVING RECORD CLEAN, (again, if YOU keep your record clean, time will take care of this.) And grow up to accept responsibility for your actions!
You are 21 years old, and had a sleep study? Are you extremely overweight? Nothing you have said here would warrant spending 2500 to 3000 bucks on a sleep study.
Yep, your car is all that is important here! Screw the other car’s owner?
Stupid? Oh yeah, big time. For not realizing that when you drifted out of your travel lane, you SWITCHED LANES!
OK, now THIS is something that would come under the heading of “mitigating circumstances!” It’s something that all of us have had to fight at one time or another. But when you get sleepy, PULL OVER AND GO TO SLEEP FOR A FEW MINUTES!
I’m usually a pretty laid back guy, usually rooting for the wannabes to get hired. But with your maturity level right now, my sincerest hope is that NOBODY WILL HIRE YOU FOR A COMMERCIAL DRIVING JOB!
It’s not that I have anything personally against you, how can I when I don’t know you. It is from your lack of maturity and willingness to accept the consequences of your actions! Crap happens to all of us, and we have to realize that while once in a while, it really isn’t our own fault, the majority of the time, it IS. And be mature enough to accept it, and not try to weasel out of responsibility for it.
Two things. First off, just what the hell does this have to do with YOU? Once again you are trying to shift the burden from you to somewhere else. Second off, don’t bet on that guy with 4 or 5 DUIs getting hired at all.
I’m sorry, but this just doesn’t pass the “smell test.” Sure, it is possible that paperwork got screwed up at the DMV. But YOU ARE THE ONE WHO HIT THE PARKED CAR! YOU ARE THE ONE WHO GOT THE TICKET! Stop saying you are not at fault, because you and I, and everyone who is reading this knows that YOU ARE AT FAULT here!
Now then, that being said, realize that every one of us makes mistakes. All of us are only human. And most, if not all of us have had crashes at one time or another.
As I see it, the big thing here is not the fact that you fell asleep and hit a parked car. The big thing here is how you are trying to duck responsibility for your actions!
This is something you do need to do. And a hard copy of your MVR.
Recruiters are not paid to discourage applicants, they are paid to get as many people to apply as possible. And believing what a recruiter tells you is as intelligent as believing a used car, (or truck) salesman.
And that is just how quickly your life can change. Or end. It doesn’t take all night, it only takes a few seconds and your life, and the life of others are changed forever.
I don’t know why you got 0 points for the accident. Count yourself lucky there. One thing I have noticed all through your posts, is that you have not mentioned anything about insurance. What did your insurance company have to say about the accident? What did it due to your insurance premiums?
OK, you are probably reading this and thinking, “WHAT AN AWHOLE THAT BIG DON IS.”
And perhaps you are right. But this is what I see from your posts. GO AWAY AND COME BACK WHEN YOU HAVE GROWN UP A LITTLE!

    G.Anthony and Rooster903 Thank this.

First off my story is not pure horse crap. I feel asleep while coming home from work and I hit a car. Yes, I had sleep study done no I am not over weight I am 5"3 and weigh 145 pounds. I never said I was not at fault. I was referring to the paper that the dmv sent me to give to my doctor to fill out to make sure I was safe to drive said NON At Fault accident form or what ever there called, And my doctor did sleep study to make sure I was alright....

Also, What did you want my car insurance to do? Nothing rates went up a little bit after 6 months but nothing crazy.
