I make $27.88/hr roughly $58,000/year (on a 40hr week) ... This doesn't include my overtime after 8hrs (which is frequent)... My company caps us off at 60/wk... This year I have grossed roughly $85,000 for the year.. We get double time when we work the holidays (plus the holiday pay itself), shift premium if you work nights (rarely do I work that).. This doesn't include my benefits (One of the best benefits around Ontario other then teachers), pension and any other perks we get... I think I remember hearing if they include our benefits and pension in with the hourly wage we are around $90/hr or something...

I have 14 or 15 holidays that I am paid for.... I am home everyday and work M-F with optional overtime on Saturdays when we get into busy seasons... I am due for a pay raise in the new year.. I don't have to drive a truck either, we have MANY position within my company that I can move to.. I am hoping to get into management for more money...

I work a Government job (hence the name).. The one thing I do notice is it's def harder to save money when your home everyday as opposed to when I used to be OTR I had all kinds of money sitting in the back because I didn't spend too much on the road... I am must happy tho coming home everyday...

    browndawg and Flybynight041 Thank this.
