Must be a government worker to have time to make 150 posts in three weeks. The rest of us work too hard to have time for that.

Yeah it seems the only way to make good money in local trucking is A) Government/Union or B) Union Alone .... I know not many Government agencies have a trucking department other then the Mail System or Military.... I think "The City Of Toronto" is the only Government around my Province that actually hauls there own waste materials (minus garbage which is contracted out)...

Higher paying non-union local hourly jobs are few and far between.

When you say "my company caps us", do you mean us Ontario taxpayers? :)

Outside of government, in my opinion the best money in the industry for local work is in LTL. It's not just the money, but you get a good quality of life too working 40 hours a week.

You have the same package that I do. Down to having the 60 hour work week cap.

When it comes to saving money, I'll agree with you that it's harder to do that when you're a local driver, because in order to have a good quality of life you need to spend money. That's why I went OTR for 6 years. I saved enough money to buy a home and 3 cars.
