Hey Spring Chicken, how was orientation? and how is your job with IRT going? I am considering them at this point. I haven't pulled tanks before but I am really tired of dry van. Any info would be appreciated.

I'm in orientation now, pretty stamdard day 1 paperwork then Dr. That takes a while. Day 2 more paperwork and videos assign tr uck. Still waiting on drug test to come back, only 1 has come back so far. Should be ready on Wed. Got lunch both days, lucky enough it's driver appreciation week lunch is good. Bbq day 1 hamburgers and sausage today. They gave me a prostar nice truck with refrigerator roomy and lots of storage. Mine has the e-apu on it not sure how good that works yet. So dar so good but I've been here before 7 yrs ago.

What is your expected annual income with Irt? How many days off per year? Thx.
-
1 day off for each week out, .37 mile to start, 1cent annual raise. 1 week vacation, 2 weeks at 5 yrs. Yearly income? How hard do you want to run? Some trucks on elog some paper.

I don't know about annual income, and I don't know what you mean by expected as trucking is one of the most unpredictable lines of work in the world. I do know that when I've had a good week I take home around a grand. I also know the stress that comes with being on paper logs is harder for me to deal with than it used to be. I was on e-logs at my old company and I got used to that. I'm considering switching. The truck I have is equipped for it. I don't know. We'll see.

Bynum has a add on Craigslist in Milwaukee Wi. for Kenosha Wi. says pay up to .40 per mile new 2015 trucks and need no experience. not sure what's up with no experience, but go to the add if you want and read the whole add.

Anybody out here working for Bynum tell me what there home time is. TIA....

They mean no tanker experience. Gotta have 1 year of OTR.
rocknroll81 Thanks this. -
I have a year and a half of tanker experience and they still only offered me 34 cents....if you must work for a Florida food grade tank company I would go to Oakley. They also require 1 year OTR, but I've been told if you have 5 years you'll start at 48.

I only have about half a year with a tank, back in the early '90's I hauled milk OTR and was ran so hard I started not knowing what day of the week it was.
