Wow you students don't have a clue when it comes to being a OTR driver...WE ARE THE JUDGE AND JURY IN OUR BUSINESS!!!!! We are the ones that have seen it on the road and can say that we just don't need people asking "If I smoked pot can I still drive and pass a drug test"? We don't know if they did it one time or every other day and don't really need to take that chance on the road. Just like alcoholism, pot is addicting too and although there's a lot of drunks out there...This would just add fuel to the fire. This isnt a game out here and it's taken very seriously by a lot on this forum...Like I said before, I don't care if you smoked pot 10 yrs ago or so but it kinda raising questions to everyone when you did it very recently....So after you have that CDL in your hand and you see all the BS we see on the road...then you just might understand what we mean.......Have a wonderful day!![]()

Btw, we arent here to judge people and just want whats right for this business..If you're asking about drugs and pee tests, maybe you should go look elsewhere...that's all.
A21CAV Thanks this. -
Pot addictive huh? Lol...clearly you've never smoked. Lol, I smoked for a long time and quit cold turkey without a single problem. And btw...you hippies who smoked back in the day...when you quit, there was a time when you smoked "a little while ago"
I'm in no way saying smoking and driving mix...but, relax. Alcohol is responsible for more problems on the road than ANY drug.
Let's just all relax and move on. Stop having a battle of wits with unarmed men. Live your life and enjoy it when you can. Take it easy and drive safe EVERYONE

just urine.

My driving instructor made me stop drinking coffee when I was first learning to drive. He said it was effecting my shifting. I stopped drinking coffee. I don't know if that helped, but I shifted a lot better afterwards.

Not a bad idea. I'll think about that if I get a trainee that has a bad case of Twitchy Foot (which is the number one reason for trouble with shifting).

Knight does hair and urine.

I feel the question is valid weather you smoke pot, shoot up, or anything else. When I did orientation with Knight they do both hair and urine tests the first day. Anyone that does not have hair long enough for the test (head, chest, back, armpit, lets, etc.) gets sent home and is NOT hired. They had one guy come in that was hairless, like a baby and he was sent home under the assumption that he had something to hide and was trying to avoid the test. So weather or not a company does hair testing is useful information, some of us keep a short haircut and don't have a lot of body hair so it would be good to know if you need to let your hair grow so you can be tested. Just saying....bigtruckin89 Thanks this.
