I'm just dicking with ya a bit Mud, see you discredited yourself when you came out the box and said, I'm gonna para-phrase,"as I was violating the speed limit & displaying blatant disrespect for the law and other motorist, I expect others to see my gestures in their mirriors and move out of my way in a timely fashion as so I dont need to slow down" ..to that I say "watch for brake lights"
How long do you wait...?

My thoughts are, I will go around on either side, therefore negating any possible ill will toward said middle lane dweller! Yes even in lane restricted areas! Oh well, what can I say. It's a dime holdin up a dollar!

I don't wait. If you want to linger in the middle lane, I'll pass you to the right and not think twice about it.
By the way, I'm a city driver in Indianapolis, and I have a part time job that takes me to Chicago twice a week for the last 4 years. I have no issues being in the right lane in either city, even during rush hour. If you do, I think it's time for you to give up driving, because I'm tired of passing trucks to the right. Not to mention that lingering in the left lanes is impeding traffic.Mudguppy and NavigatorWife Thank this. -
I was trained to drive in NYC, and the majority of my driving has been in northeast metro areas. I'm not waiting on anyone's governed posterior to look up from their lunch, cell phone, qualcomm or whatever else it is they're doing in the middle lane. I've got places to be, and those do not include dallying behind a plod in the fast lane. Not that I'm a particularly fast driver, but some of these dolts are so far under the speed limit as to be unsafe. Better to take 30 seconds and get on by, in my book.

You're not that guy that sits in the entrance and waits for the next open pump are you? How about you commit to a pump, get in line, and take your chances so the rest of us can get into the lot?
This entire thread reminds me of 2% of the reason trucking sucks.Joetro, Skydivedavec, Mudguppy and 1 other person Thank this. -
you hit yet ANOTHER pet peeve of mine
you are correct, commit to a lane
then these yahoos get upset because you "cut in front of them", all the while trucks are backed up into the streetMudguppy and Flybynight041 Thank this. -
Four wheelers do the same thing so if the vehicle isn't going to make an attempt to get over when he has the chance then he probably won't.I don't wait and don't tailgate i'll just move over then get back in my lane after passing him.No reason to get mad no reason to make a big deal out of it and no reason to have an aggressive behavior.I won't stay behind vehicles if I know I can pass them,I have things to do places to go,I don't have time for Sunday drivers.

I won't wait at a fuel island either. If you want to lolly gag and take your time, I'll go around you. You can talk to my tire thumper if you have a problem.
Mudguppy Thanks this. -
I don't have the patience either whether a fuel island, terminal, store whatever.Ive always been go go go.I hate being behind A Mr.Molasses.
Flybynight041 and Lonesome Thank this. -
In that three lane situation,
it's perfectly legal to pass on the right.
no waiting involved in my book.........Mudguppy Thanks this.
