If you can stick with it for a year, you'd be better off then get the hell outta there!

Werner isn't a career. It's a stepping stone to a career. If you outlast the B.S.

Starting orientation tomorrow. In touch with a friend who finished Today. Not many trainers come through Lakeland he says and 33 students getting shipped to Dallas to get w/trainers. Look, I take all these threads with a grain of salt. I'll pay attention, learn as much as I can my first year and see what happens. I DO have a different long term goal anyhow.

Werner is a starter company and they don't ecspect drivers to make Werner their career choice. Why are you having such bad luck with trucks,I always thought they gave the new ones to newbies and older trucks to the rehires. I'm surprised you're having so many breakdowns,Werner keeps up on their equipment. But none the less as long as you're employed there you will not get the miles you prefer if you're OTR they are swap and split happy.

It was between them and Covenant. Werners tuition reimbursement program was better (750 at the 6mos mark and then another 750 at the one year mark.) 1500 that I don't have to pay out of my pocket. Team driver bonus 7500 split between the two drivers. It's all about catching up since I've been out of work so long. Like I said, I DO have a long term goal. Don't plan on being there forever. From reading and researching, it seems that it's a 'crap shoot' no matter who I picked. Instructor at RM said he didn't have it to bad there, so that helped a little. Like anything, you learn the in's and out's once you get your feet wet. Was the same thing when I was a Deputy.

Good luck with Werner.Considering what they pay per mile for teams, they should give a good bonus. You do you what teams makes don't you?

Happiest drivers I spoke to at Werner were the ones who worked for people that had a few truck leased on...they all said they stayed busy with the long runs...whereas the company drivers did alot of short runs and sat. Best oof luck to you hope your long term plans come true.
