I just want to put it out there for folks who get lost in economic theories.
They simply do not apply because U.S. dollar is WRC.
U.S. borrows money from Fed. That's an international establishment if someone is still confused by the name.

5% is printed and 95% become zeroes on the computer screen. When you have 18 trilions of dollars in debt and 50% annual difficit you don't really have any need or intention to even pay off the interest on that. All you need is to solder on and send kids to control the universe.

Coupled with unprecedented geopolitical power and considered it is good business to exchange paper for resources I'm not seeing the end to it in the near future.

It does not even cost the ink to print. Its all mind games. That's why at the drop of a hat you have oil prices collapse.
Because putting chokehold on Russia's economy is the real tangible commodity right now.

You make a lot of interesting points but you're the only one I've read who thinks the ponzi scheme can go on forever.

The BRICS, and particularly Russia, China and Iran are constantly trying to negotiate trade deals in something other than the dollar. The IMF is poised to offer an alternative world reserve currency, the Special Drawing Right. I believe Qadaffi was positioning to offer a gold-backed currency for Africa.

The dollar will go the way of the Pound Sterling as a reserve currency.

China has now surpassed the US as the world's largest economy and it's rise has been meteoric. We're going to have hell to pay for going around the world toppling governments.

My apologies if there are still people out there who believe Muslims operating out of a cave defeated scores of domestic AND allied intelligence AND defense agencies in order for some Piper-Cub-trained "terrorists" to perform the nearly impossible task of flying jet liners into a couple skyscrapers.

As far as the dollar collapse nothing is permanent. But it will be there as long as needed. The elites are afraid of chaos. Its not easy to pull the plug on something that worked for centuries and risk all possessions and power.
After all U.S. has a thousand or so military bases abroad. That's a lot of time and effort invested . You really think all of that will be just let go? No way. Not till there is solid, hackproof grid that will void any risk of losing control to any state or non state actors.
