Man everyone is beating ole Bob over his post.it is just information. his experience. I appreciate the info.thanks Bob
I am sure he feels bad enough going thru what he went thru. he is just trying to warn others & tell the truth from his point of view. no need to make him feel stupid. it's not like he deserves every bad thing in life, cause he makes some choices that may not be wise. hindsight, he looks back & would do things different, I'm sure. but he is human.
snowlauncher, niteninja, falcon71 and 2 others Thank this. -
I got pre approved, (over 3 million safe miles, never a ticket ) and Crst Malone wanted me to go right to orientation. I said I would like a copy of the lease to show my attorney right away things went bad. The recruiter said company policy they could not send me a copy of lease to look over. After driving since the 70s, I am very careful where I go. I talked to the recruiting manager today. A real smart ###, who relayed the same info. No look at lease before I go through orientation. He even told me I could send my attorney to read it then, after I signed. WHAT????? He then told me they did not need to bring me onboard, and hung up on me. Needless to say, I will move on to another. I had heard bad about crst, but where I live they have an agent with great rates., so I thought I would try. What an attitude.
seebell6203 Thanks this. -
and this is how they and many companies get suckers to do the lease program, noone gets a chance to read it and think it over. You were one of the smart ones, too bad there weren't more that smart.
-
You are right about the attitude. Why would anyone sign a long lease agreement before they can read it over completely or have an attorney look at it?
-
It's against the law not to provide a copy of a contract to all signatories. So theoretically, if that we're true that they wouldn't provide a copy of it, the contract isnt enforceable. Seems as though their legal dept should either all be fired, or...
I have this friend, and she has an uncanny ability to turn every bad situation in her life into a scenario where she did nothing wrong and totally got screwed. Since I've known her, she's been majorly screwed by banks, employers, car dealers, landlords, friends, family... And every time, there is NOTHING she did to deserve it, or could have done to avoid it and nothing is ever her fault and MAN does she get mad if you point out how maybe she is 1 commonality in every situation where someone is out to get her. -
What??????

Good one badbob
.... Sounds like you Dodge a bullet and shook em up alittle, don't cha love how they try to make you feel stupid right off the bat and when it doesn't look like you're gonna fall for their game, they get real nasty with ya and don't have any more time to talk to you....don't feel bad brother they hang up on everyone that calls them to the carpet -
I was was implying that constantly gets herself into situations where she refuses to accept her own part in the scheme. She has lied to her current landlord and falsified references and then when she gets caught and evicted it will be because the landlord is out to get her.
She doesn't read the fine print on her car loan and when the bank wants their money, she tries to screw them and they repo her car. Because they are all out to get her.
She failed out of university because she didn't study or show up half the time. I graduated, but only because the profs were out to get her. Not because I showed up and actually worked at it.
She got fired "without cause" (aka selling drugs at work and making payday loans to herself) but it was the boss's fault because he's out to get her.
I see some of my friend in the OP here. You can't run a business without enough capital to get off the ground. You can't rely on advances for start up money because you will have no pay if you advance it all. You can't run rates and lanes if you don't know what is a good rate for the lane. Owning a truck means you might not get to places you want to go as much as places with good rates going in/coming out. You might need to make some connections before you lease the truck, rather than expecting what other people worked 20 years to build on your first day.
