I've been watching this cat for awhile. A true professional even with the limited experience. I wish I shared the road with more pro's like you. Continue to grow my brother. The highways the limit.

What's the point bothering people who you know like to be left alone? Seeing your expierence level is on the newbie/rookie side. It would be a good thing to learn good judgment skills. It will help you discern if the guy or gal coming on the freeway is a masher or a breaker. That's mashing the gas. Or if they are going to get to end of ramp n slam on brakes and cause a pile up. When you get good at it. It will help you in your decision making skills on who to ask for a portrait and whom may tell you what posterior you can take a picture of. Please forgive my french on the earlier post. I have this tourette type deal that comes out. When in the presence of steeringwheel holders.

Well, you're not the person I'm looking to photograph. The drivers I'm interested in photographing are like the drivers I've met and had conversations with, not the ones who have no social skills and scowl at you when you say good morning. I'm not talking about photographing every driver out there, I'm talking about photographing those who I happen to have a conversation with and feel are interesting enough to be included in this project, and I'll only be doing it when I have time myself to do it. Thank you to those of you who gave thoughtful answers and thank you for the ideas.

Some choose to be a driver because they want to be left alone, not many jobs where you can just do your job without even needing to deal with a boss or being forced to work along side people except the little interaction with customers.
Also half the time im already in a crappy mood when im at a TS with drivers being arseholes holding up pumps etc so its not the best idea to approach me for something for your benefit.

I DO have social skills but there is a place and time for that and there are occasions where I spend time talking to people most of my career life was in hospitality, there is also a difference in telling someone good morning and walking up with a camera. If your planning to keep it to people you already know then you're much better off and might get a lot more success at it.

First things first. You don't know me. You don't have the right to judge who you think I am based on reading a single question I posted and what does my experience level in truck driving have to do with any of it? Just as the 20 year veteran who trained me said, any moron can be be a truck driver, hell, I can teach an ape to drive a truck. Seems I found a couple apes. You're not the person I'm looking to photograph, so don't worry about being bothered. As I told your "good buddy", I'm not going to ask the efftards who scowl at you when you say good morning. I'll be asking those who I happen to have a conversation with and that I find to be interesting enough to be added to the project. I have a job to do as well so its obvious I won't be hanging out at truck stops asking random morons if I can take their picture. Try to learn a little about someone before making snap judgements, you have no idea what kind of driver I am.
