Thats EXACTLY what I told my DM during a little FaceTime in Houston back on the 22nd when I was at the terminal before I went home for Christmas. She brought up the "bonus" and I jokingly said "You gotta be kiddin, right!?!" For solos it was a joke and certainly not worth squat with our planners...I didn't need a crystal ball to see who would get the trash loads during that period. She seemed surprised..as if.

The mssg I received said $225 for 4500 miles from 12/20-01/03. Teams would get $900 each for 9000 miles.

Bwaahaaahaaa!!!! No way I'm jumping on that!!

I'm looking at the QC post right now from 12/18. 4000 miles/$225 for solo; 9000 miles/$900(ea) for team. As I'm on a dedicated fleet, I'll likely not see even the $225.

MM 143 on I-80 in Wyoming at a truck pullout just past the rest area at 144. Seemed like the truck suddenly started to derate. Barely made it up the gentle grade. Called onroad and walked through the codes. Fuel rail pressure.

Waiting for call back. Likely getting towed with the trailer to a dealer, then this load to Reno will be repowered.

10 below outside. Truck still idling, so we are warm.

    Man, that sux Lepton!!
I'm passing through the Columbus terminal to pick up fuel and an updated hazmat permit for California and it's pretty darn cold here but not 10 below!!

i ran into that kind of cold up in Montana a few weeks ago and it just takes your breath away outside, especially for a Texas guy. My eyes would water up and then start to freeze.

    Good luck with your repairs!!

I hit the mileage for the bonus, guess I was lucky. I kept getting cross country runs with pre-planned t-calls. It was a lot of fun actually. Now the other shoe has dropped. I went to go get loaded at the shipper this AM, message said I had until 7:30 today. I arrived at 0600, only to have a sassy lady at the gate try to ream my ### because allegedly my appt time was 0600 YESTERDAY. After 12 years in the Army I have had my butt chewed by better, and as she started shouting, I just laughed. It wasn't the reaction she expected lol. I set a new appt time, and left. I can't wait to see her tomorrow. Something about getting yelled at by minimum wage employees cracks me up. I should be ticked, with only 60 miles over today and tomorrow AM, buuuut there is some bowl games that need watching.

Christmas bonus for L/O and O/O must have been a 3rd offer, for extra cm for any mileage between those dates. Swift makin' it complicated for no reason.

Been waiting for a tow truck for the last 11 hours. Fuel Rail Pressure code 157 is the problem. Sounds about right. We can idle and stay warm, just have no power to get up any kind of uphill at all.

Once the tow truck arrives we will have the tractor/trailer towed to Rawlins to a secure yard, then contact Denver to arrange a repower. When that's done we get the tractor towed to Casper for service and THEN we get a hotel room.

Got down to -15ºF last night. Currently around 0ºF. Not a cloud in the sky this morning.

I think the O/O rate was a straight up $.10 spiff per mile for all miles run during the time period - if you stayed out the entire period.

If I stayed out I would run Command loads anyway, so no incentive to me ... I stay out over Thanksgiving. Christmas/New Years is my holiday time with my family. Wife works retail, I do the stuff around the house and she can just worry about work and relaxing.
