thats what i used to use and it worked great..... when the printer went bad (used it to print my logs).... i upgraded to a battery powered portable printer and portable usb powered scanner that i have now

upside to using a printer/scanner/coper in the truck ether all in one or 2 pice as i have it you can make copies when needed (don't need to pay the truckstop's fee) you can send and rec faxes e-fax or others (not pay truckstop fees)

Transflo last version of the app sucks! I use CamScanner to take the pictures and export to Transflo and send them on it's way to company.

I came across this thread through a google search looking for a scanner that would work with Transflo, I did notice that it was an old thread however it is still a relevant thread, so I posted. I think that is how a lot of old threads get resurrected, by coming up in a google search. I thought when I took the pics and sent them in they didn't look anywhere near the quality that you get at the truckstops, so I called the accounting office and they were in agreement, the quality just isn't there. The quality is what i always liked about Transflo, ssssooooo I am going to get a scanner, if it saves one billing error, it was worth the money.

My phone produces a better image than the scanners at the truck stops that I frequent.

No. Droid Razr Max HD. But the Iphone is supposed to have an awesome camera.

Possibly you are moving the camera while it is taking the pic. Or too close to focus, or moving the phone between when it focuses and when it snaps the "shutter". There does seem to be considerable shutter lag with phones. The time from when you push the button to when the photo is actually captured. Try stabilizing your arm against something when taking the photo.

Yes I did have big time trouble with that, I even shut the engine off to eliminate that vibration but I still didn't do a good enough job of holding it still, the whole process just seemed to lengthy as well, I could probably get it down with some practice, but by then the accounting people would be after me. I think I will just get a scanner and give up on the phone camera, I am picky about my paperwork.

My employers utilizes transflo. they told us we could do truck stop scanning or in cab but no phone (I assume because of the legibility issues) anyway my last employer would sometimes want us to fax in bills for certain jobs. Sometimes you couldn't find a fax machine so I downloaded the cam scanner app on my iphone. I did a couple of bills and the dispatch actually complimented me on how much better quality it was than some of the faxes they had received from other drivers. I was looking into getting either a portable scanner or an all in one but what you are saying got me thinking about that option. do you just hook up your phone to your computer and export that way? And if for some reason they don't want it scanned in like that any personal recommendation on a scanner?
