Well, I guess we can thank JB corporate for making that policy so there are more stalls for the rest of us. LOL.
They are cutting down the size of their otr fleet. Their biggest division is the container business. Then the dedicated. My fleet manager told me that they are trying to get the otr guys to switch to Regional or dedicated. I think what they are doing is leaving all the otr freight for the o/o's and lease ops. Of coarse all the long hauls are put on trains.
To be honest most of what ive seen lately has been the dcs trucks the ones that are dedicated routes i doubt there on strike but prob having a higher turnover rate cause of fuel prices..and them hounding drivers about idle time in some way
I had one tell me he "tricks" his Qualcomm into thinking he's not idling by parking on a slight hill and only setting his trailer brakes.
MMMMMM what happens if trailer has no spring parking brake and air leaks off.Driver wakes up and his truck is ON THE ROAD AGAIN>
Well I seen one backed no wait he was pulled into a store unloading grocories taking Grocory Supplys place. And this was the only store in this one horse town.
