When we left I think we were at .62 or .63. But I don't doubt that top pay has moved up since then. I don't think you'll find one person who has driven or is driving for OD that would have one bad thing to say. It's a great company, with a lot of great people.

Do they teach basic reading comprehension in Canada? Maybe you should read my entire post before commenting.

If you do a little research on the difference in wages between the public & private sectors you will find out that government workers are generally coneded to have higher earnings;

Even the Congressional Budget Office has to admit that with less than a phd, you'll earn more working for the government. I think I'm safe to assume that most of the people on this site have a masters degree or less, so for our purposes it's pretty obvious that the government is over paying their employees. -
I did read your entire post.. Other then the first part, the rest of it has nothing to do with what I was saying in my post.. I was talking about the "lazy-### city worker" comment.. No where in my post that you quoted did I mention money..
So I have to turn around and ask you.. Were you taught basic reading comprehension?????? Maybe you should read what I actually TYPED before you make yourself look like a moron

I don't have to see how "every" postal employee works in this country. (Other countries I have no clue) I know their general attitude. I once delivered a skid to a post office and they couldn't even be bothered to help remove it off my truck. I had to do their job for them and lug it off by myself by killing my back since the vehicle wasn't dock high. Then I had to wheel the skid over to the other side of the warehouse, Then I had to to set it on their scale so they could weight it, then finally wheel it over to their storage area to be processed. Then they wouldn't even sign off on the bill. Their general mentality was do as little as possible. It was quite ridiculous, no private sector shipper/receiver would get away with crap like this. The only ones I would consider hard working are the mailmen/drivers.
Then don't even get me started on DMV employees. Making 90k a year to flip papers all day with full benefits and all holidays off. What a hard job! Then many of them are downright rude to customers...Last edited: Jan 3, 2015
Boardhauler Thanks this. -
It's called context. My second and third points indicate that I realized my first point wasn't necessarily valid. Yet you seized on that one point, out of context & got your panties all in a wad, which is fine with me btw. I don't recall the govt. taking anybody rights to their opinions away yet.
FWIW, based on your response and my rudimentary online research that I refer to in my subsequent post, I am now of the opinion that govt. employees ARE overpaid. That is my opinion, I'm entitled to it & I'm sticking to it. -
Don't have to. Stereotypes aren't based on total compliance.

fwiw, ups freight is up to 68.5 cpm, and 27.15 on the ock, with free insurance that is very good, and a good pension. i c you cant make 100k at 68.5 cpm, its your fault, not mine....

Don't bother arguing with stupidity. They will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Its funny how the only ones who defend the government statements are government employees, just saying.
