I think he advertises in the Oh. Truck Trader. I checked this months TT nothing there this month. No matter where I bought if I had the time I would spec out and order a glider. PTB. has an option for cabinets on the back wall above the bed. Real nice for storage. Insulation packages for the cab and sleeper. Ptb. either offers 2 now or improved the one they had which was darn good before. Get at least 4 extra switches for stuff you may add later on. I would ask Fitz. for a spec. sheet on one of their Ptb. kits and you can get an idea of how they are equipped. I had leather seats, they were nice but the drivers seat wore faster than I thought it should have. I'm super easy on stuff, used the good leather stuff, ect. Long story short Ptb. wanted $400 for the butt cushion leather cover, No more leather for me. I'm pretty sure hoover has a website. He does not have the selection Fitz. has on hand. If you are planning on keeping the truck for a long time. I would order a kit, start making a list of what you think you would want. Even go so far as to get spec sheets on factory built loaded up trucks on the ground to get an idea what is available option wise. Call a couple dealerships that keep a lot of trucks on the ground. Believe me they will get you any info you want. Study those spec. sheets, there is a lot to be learned. hooverstruck.com A second trailer cord comes in handy for add-ons at a later date. Plus it saves time and aggravation up the road. If you are not getting an APU, have an espar heater installed at the factory. All this stuff is much cheaper installed at the fac. compared to over the counter.Last edited: Jan 4, 2015
SHC Thanks this. -
The Fitzgerald gliders give good svc and they are good to work with you. Trucks arent my cup of tea (I like a KW ) but give excellent svc with only minor issues for us. Ol 60 series run out and pull ok and even I admit give super fuel economy. They were a good choice here. Running them hard 7 days a week with minor troubles in first 100,000 miles. Air line blew off one. Another had a bad leveling valve. Loaded them heavy and run them hard. As grumpy as I am even I am impressed. Yes they are the Columbias. Hard for me to get used to all the visibility. I am used to ridin low and lookin large over a big hood.

d&b are the ones in ky and they also have a shop in queens tx. I am looking to buy one this summer also and researching price and specs now. The motor in my 99 has just been rebuilt and considering pulling it and using it in the glider. Just exploring my options for now.

That's a great way to save. Probably around $100,000 +/- using your current truck to donate a motor.

Fitzgerald seems to be about $15,000 cheaper than d&b.

I got my 2013 FL glider in Aug 2012 from Harrison Truck Center (Freightliner) near Waterloo, IA. Darn good truck. I have 358,000 on it now.
