A GPS is a tool. Likewise use it as such. Don't swear by it or you will end up taking wrong routes, go over bridges that aren't weighed properly, and end up going the wrong way down a one way st plus some.

That's what the King started with truckertravis .....I think I bought his at a yard sale.:biggrin_2559:It will do the job. After awhile you will have points at the truck stops, (Have you applied for cards, yet?), I don't think the King as ever had to pay for an atlas or a truck stop book.

Keep your eyes open and you should be able to find a good deal on a CB and a GPS. Surprisingly, you can also order a Rand McNally GPS for truckers online at WalMart.com .....and you can put the extra warranty on it. They also have reconditioned ones from Rand McNally online at WalMart. A good bluetooth headset is essential.....do you have one?

It's just the rewards cards for the various truck stops where you will be fueling at, the company will supply your cards to purchase fuel.( Sorry, I didn't explain that very well). All of the guys can tell you a little more about it.....they aren't much but they do add up over time.
