Delivered my load at second... and last receiver this morning... Then headed to next shipper... Decided to take US-6 E in CT instead of US-44 because the weather... some snow flurries, freezing temp... I think US-6 looked a little better road than US-44... Anyway, dropped trailer at shipper... And then DSP and broker told me there was a "problem" with that load... :biggrin_2552: Couldn't tell me what it was... but it seemed that it was cancelled... But broker told me he would find me another one...
Well... in less than 2 hrs, shipper gave me BOL to sign and said trlr was loaded... They said it was supposed to load tomorrow but since I got there today, they loaded me... It is going to same city in FL but different business name and different address... All reference numbers match though...
Called broker and he said, "OK"... DSP also said, "OK"... So, I signed BOL and took the load...
Now, can't find that business on Google search, satellite, nothing... and no phone number on BOL... I HATE these CH Robinson loads... :biggrin_25510:
Well, will let DSP and broker solve this mystery... I have spent enough time trying to find this place....
Will drive about 10 hrs tomorrow.... Now I am at a big rest area in PA... Glad I left CT, NY, NJ... nasty congested traffic and wet road under freezing temp is not a good combination for my taste.... :biggrin_25512:

Dinomite, that picture on my profile is my Pomeranian with his Doggles on.

Things went horrible our first night at R&L. We might be out of a job. They wanted us to go out in a International 9400 till our permanent truck arrives. My wife is a short person and when she got in it to practice she couldn't reach the peddles. When she moved the seat all the way forward she could reach the peddles but the steering wheel rubs up against her breast so she has trouble turning it. The steering wheel is one of those really big 20+ inch wheels. None of the new trucks we have been in have ever had one that big so it was a surprise. Then dispatch told us that they didn't have enough freight for our run due to the holiday so they were going to cancel but since it was our first night they didn't wanna send us home so they were gonna give us something else. I told dispatch about this issue we were having and they said since it was a safety issue they were going to send us home until they could talk to safety today and figure things out.

When I talked to the terminal manager today about our dilemma he didn't seem to be too understanding and kept saying that the steering wheel is standard (maybe 10 years ago but how many new trucks do you see with those?) Their issue is that if our new ProStar breaks down my wife wouldn't be able to drive the spare truck. Now safety/HR/god knows who else is involved in this and I'm sure tomorrow they're just going to tell us that it's just cheaper to get rid of us than to find a solution.

They've been telling us for over two weeks now that they were sending down a new truck for us so we could start off on the right foot. Everyday when we asked it was "on the way" but it has yet to materialize.

So i guess we'll be unemployed as of tomorrow so if you guys have any suggestions for us feel free :biggrin_25523:

Hey TruckDuo.... sorry to hear about that... but I don't think they would terminate you guys for that... it costs money for a co. to hire... I think they will try to keep you... but it may take some time to get things ready... The steering wheel can't be adjusted? And they have soooo many trucks... I hope you guys can work things out... Keep us posted... Wishing you the best, one way or another...

At the Pilot/road ranger in Minonk, Illinois on I39... 9 degrees and REALLY windy... ive gotten up 3 times to see if someone was messing with my truck! Its rocking back and forth like its driving...
Started the day in WV, drove through some snow in Ohio. Got to my first stop in Springfield Ohio and the place was closed. Luckily the guy plowing the lot knew how to operate the forklift....lol....I70 and I74 were in decent shape by the time I came through....

    73 days till spring.....

I'm sorry the word breast was used, and that tends to throw me off kilter. So are these organs that large. Or is it steering wheel. Trying to get this picture right. But you guys haven't even practiced yet. This seems odd. We'll hope it all works out for the better for you guys. Time for me to go to work.
