I can understand some skepticism, but I feel like two years is long enough to earn some credibility, especially when I have tried to be nothing but respectful and humble to this community.Last edited: Jan 7, 2015

I agree 100% and believe as you do that this occupation deserves to be held at that standard of safety due to the risk involved. With that said, I never once worked under the influence, even as just a bartender, let alone be willing to risk my life or others by getting in a vehicle high. Also, I wasn't addicted to heroin- quitting smoking is pretty much a matter of realizing it wasn't doing me any favors. It was never a "crutch" or something I "needed." I never had withdrawals or anything. It has been a hell of a lot harder to stop drinking pop than it ever was to stop smoking. I am not advocating it or saying it wasn't a big deal. I am saying that for me, personally, I wouldn't have wasted anyone's time- Prime's, this forums, or mine- if I wasn't entirely sure this wasn't more important to me than a cheap buzz.
I haven't needed anyone on my back to keep off that lifestyle. I just decided it wasn't worth it anymore- especially if it was going to prevent me from better opportunities- and I came to that conclusion a long ways back.
But I am way offtopic and if nothing else admire your dedication to safety.
Going back to those habits is not a choice I am willing to make, regardless of this job. I choose not to simply because I don't want to. It isn't hard.Last edited: Jan 8, 2015

Good enough...quit defending yourself, I think you've explained it enough. If someone hasn't figured it out by now, then that issue belongs to them. Good luck.

You still didn't answer my question, does Prime know about your 2 failed tests?Sure 2 yrs is enough time to earn credibility but not in the trucking industry, its very unforgiving. If you think Prime will give you a chance don't be surprised if they do not.Remember I called and talked to the recruiter refer back to post #39.They have policies and will not brake them for a selected few.The smaller companies yes but reputable companies,no.
