I've parked at that Casey's when I ran a load out of Hesston.

Many park at the Casey's right there in Hesston but the majority come to Newton (9 miles) and park at Newell's (behind the Days Inn hotel on the east side of I-135) which is a full on truck stop with a 24 hour store, real restaurant, showers (really amazing from what I hear but I shower at home) and paved parking. If you go to the east lot that's where all of us who live in the area park.
It's a mom and pop of sorts, Charlie Newell started it down south of Newton on the original 81 highway then moved to it's current location about 30 +/- years ago when they put the interstate in. It's still owned by his boys and in fact his grandson still changes tires there. They try to maintain a first class operation and just remodeled the store and showers. The old man has passed on but for years he could be found in the "professional drivers only" part of the restaurant at the big table sitting with the drivers and buying their coffee. -
Thank you Catalina, I'm going to do that. Also, thanks MJ and Cluck.
