I was in St Paul about that same time. Ya figure, with as much snow as these towns get, they'd be a little more on the ball when it comes to snow removal.

I went through about 11 am and it was fine. Hard snow, windy but roads were just starting to get some snow on them. Mostly blowing off.... all about the timing... I got lucky

Still hard to believe how one day of hard snow could destroy the entire, following week.

No one seemed to remember the lessons learned from this sort of thing from the past, couple of winters.

However, dispatch finally mustered up the intellect to finally pre-stage some clean-tag trailers at a few of the hard-to-reach/farther dairies to get at least one load of milk transferred into.
Also, most of the drivers either took as much time as they need, or just stayed home due to the blinding snow, and ice packed conditions over here.
So surprisingly, no rollovers or any other cold-weather related calamities to hear about on our end.

Guess everyone's finally getting their things together, sort of.

But, third winter out here and even though one can handle, it doesn't mean their embracing it!!

Today I put on a pair of long johns, the heavier material winter uniforms (I drive for the post office), and the snowsuit, topped off with a fur hat. I overdressed. It's 5 degrees and I'm sweating bullets.

Monday and Tuesday, it was in the mid to upper 50's both days, Weds. it topped @ 35, and started the day with a freezing drizzle and fog. Thursday was 48 for the high, today, Friday, well, we woke to freezing drizzle that coated everything ice, high barely broke 30. Sat. and Sun. are supposed to be in the upper 40's again.

Hey Striker, you know as well as I do, that if you don't like the weather in Colorado, just wait for 10 minutes!:biggrin_2559:
