"I called my company and I should have guessed they would ask irritating questions. "How many injured?" "How many fatalities", "Whats the damage on the other truck or trailer", "What type of moving violation or ticket did you get?"- for what? Hitting a fence? No cops were involved."

Ah, they are filling in the blanks on the insurance form.

Why not make the tight turn into the dock, pull up a few feet and then slide the tandems back before bumping the dock? Your driving your truck, not the reciever. IMHO.

If It was me I would have kept on going just like the yard dogs do when they tear up trailers.

Mack has several multiple reverse gear transmissions. The T310M, for example, has 10 forward gears and 6 reverse gears. Even my 2180B has options in reverse.

Normally in those tight situations you want to make a mental note or take a picture of things like fences that make it look like a impossible situation. Then watch other drivers maneuver through the problem.

My worst one is Melissas World Variety Produce on Soto Street in Los Angeles, Built back around the tirn of the last century for 39' trailers and city trucks. Long KW w/ 53 you can do it but it is very tight. There is a guard rail marking the property line with lots of different color paint on it.

Look for signs that someone else has already damaged it so you dont get the bill for previous damage.

The fence shoulda known better than to get behind a semi that was backin' up!

Did you really think you could drink em and then just stack em back up and get away with that? You're too funny! ;-)
