I would cut you're losses and go sign up with a company like Roehl or Prime and you won't have to shell out any money. Just do you're 12 to 18 months with em' and then you can move on.

I think this is your first mistake, driving a car is gonna be nothing like driving a big rig. Your going into this thinking you already have the skills.
In my honest opinion, I really think your going to tear something up. Even if you pass the test. Its not your skills, I believe with enough work your skills will be fine. I think your attitude is whats going to stop you. Your assuming this is suppose to be easy, then your finding out it's not, and then you start looking for something else to blame. If your gonna drive you gotta have those emotions in check. How will you feel when your backing in some tight area and you got guys on the CB poking fun at you? That happens to everyone no matter what your race and gender is. You get flustered then something bad will happen.
When they're teaching you, you should be getting some general guidance, they're not going to micro manage your every move, its ultimately up to you to figure out the angles. You gotta get to the point where you can visualize what you need to do in your head.
Also when you start thinking they're racist, its going to give you attitude, then they're gonna start being short with you because no one wants to hang around someone who is unpleasant.
You want to drive? then you need to have the attitude that your going to do what it takes, and learn what it takes. Then realize its not going to be easy. I really believe that in order to drive a truck you have to a good grip on your emotions. I feel if your easily frustrated, irritated, and always looking for other things to place the blame, your probably not going to the enjoy the job that much.bobtrucks2204, MJ1657 and Leftlane101 Thank this. -
Shelly what Are your plans After you get your cdl? Working local, otr, or regional. If it's possible maybe you can look into going with prime they do a lot of hands on training. And since you are already had some training, you may be able to speed up your process in getting cdl and making money. These schools barely teach you enough to go around a few blocks to pass your test.

It sounds like they are teaching a legitimate technique for completing the skill. -- Not just "practice til you figure it out".
Are you turning the wheel while you are still backing? If you are still rolling, you could easily be turning too slowly. Just a few inches off on your set up (like turning the wheel while still rolling) can put you way off your target.
Have you tried stopping (foot on brake) when you hit your mark and then turn your wheel before proceeding to your next mark? -
thank you for being kind, I just want to be able to do what they teach me to pass the state test,,,,,,,, if I would have knowed better I would paid for a school that was 5 months and not 3weeks since,,,,,,,,,, I will admitted THAT I maybe just a little to slow

OK good idea

If I had to guess I'd say you're turning your wheel too much. When I did my offset I didn't turn the wheel any more than a 1/3. You don't need to crank the wheel when doing an offset. Good luck

ok I see because I be still rolling while turning.

Don't pay any more money, if you just need more time you can do that easily by going with company paid training, Roehl, Prime, or any of the big Companies. Or just go to a school like TDI. Requires very little upfront, and take the whole 3 week course again."semi" retired and shellyshell20 Thank this.
