Really? So you have to have the skills before you go to school to learn the skills?

I'm guessing you would see a big improvement if you stopped, then turned the wheel to your mark, then proceeded.

    GWIZ2260 and shellyshell20 Thank this.

Now you're starting to sound like a driver. What city do you live in?

Close to Atlanta. You're in a good freight lane. Do you want cross country driving or do you want to stay local?

Shelly,Try Dalys school of trucking in Buford. If unemployed you may get free training
if accepted.Everyone got the assistance funding when I went, except stupid ol me.
Definitly stop, before making the revolutions on the steering wheel. That part comes
later, when you can just flip it back and forth, and get it in the hole.
Try to drive those tandems when getting lined up in the cones.
Watch the other drivers setups, and methods that are making it work, and ask for
extra range time after school.Surely somebody will stay an extra 30 mins to help.
    Stay strong my sista

Hi shellyshell, I agree with danvitt, don't spend another dime on any schooling, dear. Sounds like you just need more practice. If you went through the school, you have the basics, and start out small, getting familiar with bigger vehicles. I know you want to go,go,go, but it takes time. Maybe post an ad at a truckstop for a woman driver ( no men) to help you, or even here. Sounds like you are on the right track, it will happen. You are in a great area for trucking. Good luck. BTW, I have 35 years in a truck, and I too forgot to set the brakes,,,,once.

25(2)+2, shellyshell20 and Danvitt Thank this.
