Well it has seemed like forever, but now I start Monday to school. I'm going to Tri County Tech in Anderson,SC only about 30 min from home. We have only have 4 students per class and 3 or 4 instructors and that was a big selling point for me to attend this school. We start our first week in the class room and 3 weeks driving and going over the truck also 3 night drives. I know I see that some think 165hrs isn't enough to learn on but in my offence I have had a class B in the 90's and have driven combos in the past, so I think it will work out fine. Thanks
Wish me luck![]()
I start Monday 01/12/15

I think you will find the 160 hour program adequate for getting you into a CDL and into your trainer's truck where the real learning begins. Best of luck!

Congrats man! 160hrs is plenty to teach somebody especially with only 4 per class. All the other stuff only comes with doing it. Keep us updated.

Three days down....but all classroom stuff. Drug test, map reading, log books, route planning, tons of videos, air brake parts & what they do and other stuff but my mind is kind of overloaded already this week..lol
We started talking pre trip inspection late this afternoon so that when we start on the range we will be a little familiar with it already. Great instructors and they make it fun and interesting. Two quiz's also today and I fared pretty well on them. So far great choice of school & home at night.
