Going to training at SRT...

 

Don't get discouraged, yes driving a car, is nothing like driving a 18 wheeler, maybe Ive just green driving to long, or that I didn't attend a driving school, but what do you mean by, right/left offset? Are you talking right and left turns?

 

I know lots of other have replied, I had trouble with blind side offsets myself. But I did okay when asked to do it in the exam.

My uncle gave me an interesting tip from when he was learning years ago. If you can do parallel, then you can do offsets. They are practically the same.

 

I'm glad here in Arkansas our parallel parking is just serpentine backing up around three cones. I'm currently halfway through a 20 week cdl course. During my 10 weeks so far I've seen students that were terrible behind the wheel their first five weeks, and now can alley dock without the need of a pull-up consistently. Some people need extra time for all the pieces to fall into place. I hope you are able to get all the extra time you need Shelly. In the end all that matters is that CDL-A license, and not the amount of time it took you to get it.

 

This little bit of simple advice may help. When I was learning so long ago my Daddy said boy your pushing the yellow lights learn to follow them.

 

Offset ? .....$725 for 10 hrs ? Sounds like you need to get away from that schoo also ,there are other options also so think of like this ....you didn't fail anything SHELLSHELLY20 , it's just we truck call a "re route" ...you just have to take a longer way to your destination , we know how you feel , it's fusturating bein a trucker sometimes .....be determined !!!!#
