I feel you moosetek, I'm at petro in north Baltimore Ohio bobtail and supposed to get my mt 35 mikes away and snowing with about 2 inches already. Got a Campbell load to Virginia but even 35 miles makes me nervous. My 34 isn't up till 930....

I've been able to avoid this in the past .. in MA, unload tomorrow, then head over to NY for a pu, heading to OH ... supposed to be a mixed bag of everything tomorrow, sleet, freezing rain, snow and 1-2 inches of ice accumulation ... I'm heading south and staying there ... can't make a profit crawling around burning my hours in crummy weather.

Cooling my heels at the Edwardsville terminal.

When my window opened up on mac30 I got lucky and found the perfect load to finish off the week so I split from Big Cabin OK and headed to KC in time to set my 10 for delivery of the load I have and the pick up of the next. Screw getting a 34 as I didn't need one anyway.

Next load is a D/H 5 miles from drop in the morning, then 600 miles on down to Amarrilo for an early delivery Wednesday morning. Keeps me away from the crappy weather up north for a couple more days and caps off this week at 3200+ miles. Could be worse.

Ran up to Merced again then ran a load to Pacoima, planner called me and asked if I would pick up a Yussen in Long Beach, didnt matter if I made it back as long as it got picked up. I had about 1:44 left on my 14 and I made the push to try and make it to the Lebec rest area which was 80 something miles and managed to get here with 5min left even fighting a little 405 traffic and some slower climbs, if it was a heavy load i would of never made it.

For the first time ever I was unable to put a trailer into a dock, Pacoima is already very tight for a sleeper and they decided they were going to put a 53' trailer for storage in one dock and then their box truck in the other and I was unable to get it into the middle dock not being able to get enough room to setup, after 45min or so of trying and having countless cars fly behind my trailer and in front of me I finally contacted the store asking to get the truck moved, they told me the driver isnt around and I said I cannot get the load in so she asked if I would move it snce they cannot drive it if they gave me the keys so I did, after that I blinded it in just fine. Took a hour and a half at the store total when I normally can do the full swap in under 30min....

Now stuck at Columbus terminal for who know how long. Was routed here for fuel and about 30 miles out lost my right front brake. Which driving on snow covered roads with 44k in the box is not my idea of fun. Been a long night.

Peelot in Sunbury, OH. Had my fill today of the snow up North. Was good going until just North of Lodi and then it just turned to, well you know. I was breaking traction often just trying to get up that one hill north of Lodi. Lots of cars in the Median coming back south and all of them, well instead of just staying in the 2 lanes that were only wet they just had to jump into the hammer lane that was slushy and packed and speed up and then spin out.

If any of you know this Peelot here you know that it can be a PITA to get into, especially when you have the 4 wheelers also coming out of the same exit and entrance that is used by trucks. Sometimes they can actually see you trying to get in and will pull over to the right. Today not so. Old man in Van decides that he wants the middle and all the way up. So I start to pull in and he will not move or the lady behind him so I just pull almost all the way up and stop since can not go farther. He just looks at me and starts to yell and tells me I am number 1. I just throw my hands in the air and make a crazy sign. I finally get in and he actually follows me. We had some words and he left. The jest was I asked he needed glasses to read or could he really read English where the sign says truck entrance.
