I wouldnt recommend anyone to work with them...there equipment is always messing up or breaking down...they will turn your truck down for a seatbelt ticket...or even if you get a warning for speeding...not a ticket a warning...and they tell you to enjoy your home time but when it comes to being on your hometime they will call you and still want you to work...the safety manager is not very nice and some of the fleet managers are not nice either....my fiancee works with them and 85 percent of the time he is on his hometime they call him the day after he gets home even if its midnight wanting him to work on his hometime...they act like they are the only ones that have family and no one else does...they do not care about their employees at all...but the pay is decent, but they dont care about the employees...my fiancee has been there nearly a year and most everytime he is home they call him wanting him to pick up a load...cutting his hometime short which is already short because its only 2 days every week or 4 days 1 time a month so ...i do not recommend anyone to work with them

All in all they are one of the worst companies to work for...you are sitting just as much as you are driving ...you will be lucky to get 18oo miles in a week...if even that...they leave you sitting a weekend when that is time you could be working or being with your family but they have you sitting not doing anything ...they just dont care about nothing or nobody

So I wonder what happens if you don't answer the phone while you're home on home time as per THEIR policy?
Just don't answer the darn phone! How hard is that?!?
If you have two full days off as per THEIR policy.....and you don't answer the phone because YOUR policy is "I don't freak'n answer the phone on home time"---then what happens? Huh? What? -
Trucking companies are a lot like the late model trucks, strip off the name and the bells and whistles and underneath they're all the same. The key to success lies within you. Like life in general you reap what you sew. If you wanna hang out at the truckstops and B S or chase lot lizards and go home every weekend you may as well pick up pop cans for a living you will make more money. Keep er rolling, keep ur log straight and drive safe, you will get there

sounds like a personal problem

I don't recomend deBoer due to inconsistent miles, no detention pay and almost impossible to get layover pay out of them. The equipment is old and you will be breaking down

I just got out of CDL school in August of 2014 and the company that picked me up was Deboer. The company seemed cool at first but when they set me with a trainer they sent me with the most hateful guy I've ever met in my life! I'm not just saying this he was mean and cussed me out every day. I talked to a few other guys he had trained and they said he was extremely rude and had cussed them out too. He talked to me like I was in boot camp and when I would tell him to stop and that it was very dangerous to talk to a new person training to operate a very heavy semi he said to me "Shut the f*** up" and I told him again to stop that it was making me nervous he said to me, "F*** U" He did this on my first day in San Antonio rush hour traffic! I told the company about it and they did nothing at all. I cant' say his name on here but I will give a description. He's about 6 ft. 2 with a belly and a huge Texas mustache. He loves to cook in his truck. if you get this guy I'm telling you ask for another trainer because he sucks and is the most disrespectful guy I've ever met. He talked to me like that drill Sargent on "Full Metal Jacket". He bragged about how many guys he run off and they didn't make it through training. And with the company not doing anything about it, well that sais how much they care about their employees. They didn't do anything at all about him. They even asked me if I'd go back out and train 1 more week with him!
