Parked Here for the Night

Well didn't make it to far. Rest area b4 u get to the TA in Ogallala, NE. This old age I can't woop woop truck it up like I use to. Maybe 2 hr power and see if I can hold it in between the lines to G I.

 

Well. Slow rolling out of Cali. Ran up to Flagstaff. Temp was 49. Until I hit 7200 feet. Then it became snow. Ran down to twin arrow to find a parking spot. Back to drizzle rain.

 

It sounds almost like you are near Hazleton/Dorrance at the rest area/scale on I-81 north. If so, you aren't real far from my house...

 

Wasnt the prettiest of nights--on 81 last nite--prolly made the right choice Rocks---got pretty dense and slick North of you Rocks couldn't see much o nuffin from about Clarks Summit down to Hazleton...and Voyager---good thing I know WHERE the mandatory is on 309.....was following a Mega(who was creepin)off 81--and right by it he went...at least the Statie was good enuff to let me pull up to the stop sign BEFORE he lit the world up and went after him....even as foggy as it was--hard to miss him sittin by the Salt Pile with his interior lites on doin paperwork..gave em a good couple o minutes before I eased down....Thankfully he had eased him up to the ice cream stand just past the T/L so they were OFF the road when I went by....then remarkably fog cleared bout time I got to your place--so I could see the pull off cross from the Hess and fill my DD mug--before the long trip over the mountain and into the Valley--LOL
At the house..where Im gonna be for couple days....course the phone DID ring bout an hour ago...and some Alien voice asked me How i felt about headin for Cali today--told him he must have the WRONG # and hung up---kids sheesh----

 

At the J on I40 x182 in TN. 800 miles to go by Friday 0400. Started getting my butt kicked again after 5 hours so no need to push it. More sleep....😴😴😴

 

Flying hook in El Paso...drop tomorrow at 7am and then I cant get out of this town soon enough

 

El Paso is best left to 'olhand, tall mike and pack rat
