Called bait and switch. OTR companies are known for that.

Sorry that local position is filled, when it probably never existed, but we do have OTR spots open. Come lease a shiny new chromed out Peterbilt and make 10K/month!!!!!!!

Their yard is over on Harper road in Solon. I sure would not want to be doing that right now. The wind chill here is like -17 or so. They load and tarp outside year round. Pretty dusty over there too. I used to pick up next door so while I was waiting I used to watch those guys. If you have any dump experience. Morabito on E.55th hires guys every spring. They are Teamsters, start you at like $15.50. The top guys are some where around $19.00.

i was watching a bunch of morabito trucks this morning, waiting for the shuttle van at Holland. making 20 an hour for dump truck work looks like a pretty sweet gig. is ProTerra teamsters as well? i saw a couple of their trucks as well. i am assuming there is an area agreement for all of the dump truck drivers that are union....

ProTerra is non union. Years ago you would of never seen that. Our government pushed the people who knew how to handle those situations out of the local. Your barn on Memphis ave. used to be Branch Motor Expresses barn when I worked at Branch. A friend of mine Ray Schneider retired from Holland. I'm sure some of those guys remember him. He passed away, cancer. Big Jim was a steward there may still be.
