So if your state doesn't accept a temp CDL, does PRIME let you take the test in your home state? This is what I found on the MD DMV site:
Note: A temporary CDL issued by another state or jurisdiction cannot be converted or transferred into a Maryland CDL.
The Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration (MVA) does not issue a temporary CDL driver's license of this type nor does it recognize a temporary CDL that has been issued by another state, D.C., or Canada for the purpose of converting or transferring it into a Maryland CDL.

Just have to wait until you get the permanent one... or re-do the test on your trainers truck. There are a few states where you do have to repeat the road test. Don't worry about it... things like this come up all the time, and you're not the first student to encounter it.

I remember reading somewhere on this site (under prime), but cannot find it in a search... It was suggested that during driver line-up that we should pick up several drivers log books, and several of a few other things (paperwork wise)....

Please help me find that post or tell us again what the suggested paper work item are...

    Thanks

Basic CDL instruction is only done out of the Springfield terminal. Orientation for those holding a CDL when they start at Prime can be done st any of the three terminals.

You can get a couple of paper logbooks at any of the terminals, but they're only for use in case of an elogs failure. You also can get Comchecks and trip cover sheets. None of this is anything a PSD student needs to worry about.

Seriously, what IP said. Don't sweat that stuff. You will acquire these different items at the appropriate points during each phase. PSD, TNT and upgrade. As to your specific question, a representative from the logs department will come speak to y'all on the first day of orientation. You will receive a log book before getting on your PSD instructor's truck. Then you likely won't touch it again until you move it off of his/her truck to either a TNT trainer's truck or your own.

You will be keeping logs. You will be using E-logs.
