Yes, greeley is a slaughter town. It hasnt been that bad but i could see it getting wicked in the summer. Thats true. Housing should be considered. But it should not be a problem like other areas. Its all pretty descent priced

I was looking at housing last night and it seems extremely expensive. Denver, Ft. Collins , Ft. Lupton and of course Boulder are all really high. New houses ranged from $300-700k. Way out of my price range. Even the rent seemed high. Of course I only looked at craigslist, but not liking what I saw.
-
Well, how did it go?
-
Denver is in the grips of a rent squeeze right now. I am not surprised to read that it's fanning out into other towns. Boulder has always been expensive, though. Have you considered any sublease/roommate situations until you want to commit to a rental contract?

I took a grocery Delivery job in Longmont in September. I have a house in Greeley. I rent rooms on a month to month basis and usually only have a few hours between renters...the rental market is tight for sure.
I have to say that hauling groceries isn't really worth the pay/schedule. I'm going to start looking at hauling crude again like I did in Midland. -
could always look at cheyenne WY, which is where many of those wells in northern colorado are delivered to.
rent for 1 and 2 bedroom apartments, $700, 2 bd home, $900 to 1500, 3 bed $1000 to 2000 per month.
for sale, 3bed many houses under $200,000 also. -
Hey guys, sorry dor the late response. I put in a bunch of apps and talked to quite a few people. Everybody was real helpful. I walked into some places that looked reallegit amd others where i just had a bad vibe. I did.get an.offer to haul crude for one company right away but it wasby far the most shady out of all of them. During my 30 min of filling out an.application and.interview 3 different drivers came in at different times. Complaining about.there pay checks. Terminal manager was very arrogant and disprespectfull . As i was walking out a driver told me dont waste your time. I called him after thinking about it to terminate my application. There was some good ones out there but.once.they found out i didnt have.experience they werent interested might have to do some.other stuff to get foot in the door. As far as rent its expensive and slim pickings like others have said. Will see.how everything pans out

I know you are set on hauling crude, but as you are finding out, it is hard to get in with no experience. My suggestion would be to look for a vacuum truck (hauling water) and get your tanker experience with that. After you get some experience in a tanker I bet you could find a job hauling crude pretty easy. Something to think about. Hauling water is the same job but with water instead of crude and it isn't hazmat. One of the big reasons they want someone with tanker experience to haul crude is because it is hazmat.
