Outsourcing good paying jobs with cheap labor. Welcome to deregulation.

*the main reason why I strongly believe the entire industry desperately needs to be unionized*

    EZ Money Thanks this.

The main thing is find a job you like......The money is another story.
I have done it all...local,LTL and OTR....I get more sleep running longer runs than I did local for sure.
Being home every night sucks when you only have time to eat, sleep and go again.
That is how it was for me anyway.

That's right because no one is making what you do..LoL
I could read the condescension in your very first post on this subject.. I always can(its a gift)
anyone who has to announce their income generally has other issues and yours must be something so small that you have to have something you claim as large..
sorry to disappoint but I don't think you measure up..

    Im done.

Apparently you can't read, because I said that there are jobs that pay more. Don't let the door hit you on the way out.

By the way, that was not my first post on the subject. That was my reply to your statement that LTL doesn't pay well. I proved you wrong and you got your panties bunched up.

You didn't prove anything, you just hit some keys and formed words into sentences which anyone can do.

How did I know this argument would continue? Honestly, if yall have as much experience as you claim to have, then you'd know I'm not fibbing. The ignorance being displayed by some of the self proclaimed seasoned drivers here is enough to make me want to bang my head on the side of my truck.

I knew what LTL paid the moment I started driving at 15.

I know what bull hauling pays, even though I stopped doing it over 10 years ago.

I know what heavy haul pays, even though I stopped doing it 4 years ago.

I know what fuel hauling pays, even though I've never done it.

I know what car hauling pays, even though I've never done it.

    etc, etc.

For you guys not to have a dang clue what LTL pays, or what government jobs pay after 8-20 years of driving only shows me yall have been living under a rock.

Weird. The OP starts a thread about his company perhaps going out of business and we turn into little boys in junior high arguing about whose science project is better. Weird.

It gives you a very good feeling to know that former employers care about what is going on with you, as you move forward in life.
Being happy in your work is one of, if not THE major key to having a good life. You spend way too much of your life at work, to be unhappy in your job.

How true! I remember when getting a job with a utility company, or ANY government agency meant you were set for the rest of your life. Certainly isn't that way anymore.

Not really, nobody really cares what you claim to make.

Don't know if you are actually done or not, but if you are, it's no loss to us. We all know the BS trucker stories, and the "I've done it bigger than you" type. It gets old, very fast.
