One time my daughter was on a band trip and was on the way back to El Paso and the activity buses stopped there to fuel and feed the kids late at night. What was supposed to be a 30 min stop turned into two hours when the kids dispersed in all directions at what she described as a "creepy place".Dinomite Thanks this.

Well. Decided to venture off pumpkin's well-beaten path and dig into some of the smaller places in my truck stop guide.
Tonight's mini-venture is Dee & Joe Joe's travel center off us-78 (exit 21). I think I picked well. There isn't anyone here other than o/o's and they all appear to be the older generation of drivers. If nothing else, it's quiet...
Im here at least until midnight. Gotta gain some of my 70 back. -
Waiting to load at Clement Foods in Oklahoma City for my load home. Was told might be three hours before I bump a dock. No worries since I'm pretty much out of hours and won't get much farther than Wichita Falls. Load isn't due for delivery until Monday.

Careful, they've been known to string up big fleet drivers in those parts.
