I have been working here for almost a year now. The pay is decent .40/cpm. This terminal pays a little better due to the lower speed limits in CA. I believe the other terminals pay .36. All runs start and end in Kingman, AZ. We run to either the Bay area or LA area in CA, and the Reno area, unload, then head to Central CA in the summer/Yuma area in the winter to get a produce load to take back to Kingman, then another driver takes it from there back east. I am usually home 10-24 hours during the middle of the week, and 1-2 days on the weekends. Gross has averaged about $1100/wk. My take-home has averaged about $875. Most of the time, the produce loads as expected, but not without some of the usual delays (but that's the coolers, not CTI). During the switch between summer and winter, things get a little erratic due to production starting/ending in those areas. CTI does do slip-seating if you're going to be out of the truck for a reset or longer. I'd say the only drawbacks to working out of this terminal is that it helps to live nearby. Although they just hired someone living 7-1/2 hrs away. I guess it's up to the individual as to how far he wants to drive home. If ya got no wife/family, I guess it's no big deal. You WILL be expected to make the runs out in minimum time, but after you've been driving for the year that they require, running 10 hrs straight (less your 30min) shouldn't be a problem. Also, if you get ANY tickets, they drop your pay .04 for 4 months. Good Luck
CTI out of KINGMAN pretty good

Thanks for the info. I've been considering CTI or IWX for a while and was looking for some drivers perspectives.
-
They just upped the pay at IWX to .52 per mile as of the first of the year. One drawback is that they have cameras in all the trucks, both facing the road and the driver. It takes a little getting used to. The pay is good though, and they keep you pretty busy. Plenty of home time if you live near a terminal.

Does IWX hire new grads? I'm from Havasu.

Worth a shot, but I doubt it. May depend on how badly drivers are needed. Usually the better pay us for drivers that have proven themselves to go for a period of time with no accidents or tickets....If it's the money, just know that .52 pay is IF you have HAZMAT & TWIC, (about $240 for everything) not to mention the time to study for HM.

.52 a mile is most likely on a sliding pay scale which aint worth a #### in my opinion.

Good friends with the owner's son and spent some time hanging out at the Edinburgh terminal.
They've got some of the best equipment out there. Always shined up and looking good, even the dump trucks.
Good to see you're happy there, they have a different business model than your typical OTR gig that I'm just personally not interested in.
If I ever wanted to try dump trucks that's the place Id go though. -
When did KAG buy CTI?

They didn't.
Not this CTI anyway, it is just an acronym after all lol possibly a different company.
