St. Louis Quick Trip, taking an extended break for my trainee to meet with his family. Good run so far from Maryland to Las Vegas. Weather's been good. Have a live load scheduled for Monday morning, so no great rush right now and we'll have time to catch the conference championships on Sunday.

jv terminal.. dropped that load at ross. dl called and said to drop my empty that i was going to pickup in colton. bobtailed here so i can the 90 day inpection done before they put a hold on me. been getting the message about 2 times/day the last 3 days lol

 

Next load picks up at Columbus heading to Uxbridge, Massachusetts. I've never been to Massachusetts, anything vital I should know?

 

Everyone there is an orifice you can't see without a mirror, the roads are more chewed up than LA and there's no place to park a truck. Other than that it sucks dog gonads.

 

I'm delivering in North Las Vegas Monday morning at 1000, Paccar DC, and reloading at 1400 at Basic Flavors on Craig a few blocks from the Pilot. I'll probably hang at the Pilot until my 1400 appointment. I'm at the Wild Wild West Sunday and Monday night playing blackjack. It would be nice if we could meet up. There is truck parking there.

I started getting those messages last Monday. One or two every day.
They have suddenly stopped. ???
No messages for 2 days now.

But I'm due to deliver in IN Monday morning, and I'll be headed to Gary to get the inspection done.
It'll be about 85 miles deadhead, and I don't plan on taking a load in the meantime.

 

I believe the proper term is massholes.

At my home dump...I mean terminal...in Houston. Hiding bobtail in the back forty between trailers for some peace and quiet tonight.

Finished my hop from OK to Midlothian TX last night. Upon arrival Target wanted a special confirmation number or I couldn't get in. Of course I didn't have it. Had to wait on the street almost two hours for Phoenix CSR to cough one up. That delay made me set my 10 late at Lancaster for my next pick up this morning in Paris TX so I was really hustling to do same day delivery on time tonight here in Houston. Ended up being only 5 minutes late. The DC brought me right in and got me unloaded.

Planners sent me a ppln I hadn't seen in a while. Drop my mty at the terminal and go to the Home Depot DC here in town and grab another to take back to the terminal. They have too many sitting there. HHG miles list that trip as one mile because of the zip codes but it's about a 40 mile round trip. So I get paid for local work $25 PLUS hourly, another $25 for the round trip for a total of $50 for an hours work. Yeah!! I'll take that!! Went on mac30 for another load and lo and behold ALL 3 offerings were the same gig..go get a trailer and bring it back!! Signed up for another and will pick up an easy $100 before lunch

im gonna go see my terminal mgr in the morning and ask him to have the planners to just keep throwing those trips at me all day till I run out of hours. I could end up making some darn good money doing several trips.
