I'm baaaaaack!!!!!!!!

To do list:
1. Put off Risinger for an indefinite period.
2. Get bunk heater fixed.
3. Get to Indy yard for permits and IFTA stickers.

 

Dispatch has allowed me to relay the load. Also they have put me off till tomorrow for a reload so I can get some rest, and are moving me to Pontoon Beach IL to get my bunk heater fixed (closest Gordon yard open tomorrow). It's still like growing trees waiting for information but good to be able to catch up on sleep and to know I'm headed to get the heater fixed.

 

I have decided that the perennially negative are fools. I do not suffer fools gladly. Ergo, when a chronically negative person begins to seek company for his misery, I will vacate the premises as quickly as possible, like I just did with the whiner who just ruined everybody's enjoyment of the tv room a minute ago. He's probably still talking.

I tried to reason with him, but was quickly reminded of the Wisdom of the Ages which states that whomever argues with a fool becomes like unto him. I felt this was one of those situations. This is also the reason I seldom respond to people who put foolish posts up.

 

Hanging out in the Internet lounge at the terminal in Columbus, snuggled in a booth with The Hot Chick watching funny YouTube videos (Screen Junkies Honest Trailers--check 'em out if you haven't seen them, hilarious)!

Gonna need to get some shuteye. They had a plan to have me get a sold trailer and ferry it to Indy so I could get to the shop but they wanted me to do it tonight. I told them I'm not safe to drive and could do it tomorrow, but dispatch said he'd cancel that plan and try to get me a run to Pontoon Beach IL (much more money) and no time sitting around waiting for the shop to open Monday.

Was going to get a little workout in a quiet spot of the property because of shower availability, but the chilly temps prevented that. So, a little quality time followed by 8 hours of my best impersonation of a sack of potatoes. Bad idea anyhow 'cause I'm so tired.

I got the bunk heater started so I am going nighty-night now.

 

As soon as I have a replacement I am going to SMITE this computer with HEAVENLY FORCE. Might practice Red Sand Palm techniques on it.

Miserable little hunk of fertilizer. I might just wipe its memory and give it to a hyperactive three year old.

 

The Hot Chick has decreed that she shall have(eth) a Surface. I want a decent actual laptop with a touch screen. We shall compromise, and do what she wants.

After all, I might make the money, but she controls the check book. And the loving (that requires more than one person).
