In Avoca, Ia. for the night. Lease is up tomorrow, only 83,000 put on in this 6 months. Probably be stuck for the weekend. Might get hotel on Sunday watch the games with all sorts of terrible food. Only 3,205 this week, next will be bad. Probably around 2,200.

I'm still stuck in a hotel going stir-crazy until orientation Monday. Tired of sitting and want to get back on the road!!

 

So did any of you know someone who got to visit Snoke Haven in Venice today?

 

It's my understanding the took out a bunch of low branches going down the road and needed the employee's to move some things so he could turn around. Apparently the driver said he was on his second day out and a lease driver as I showed my stepson pictures of the type of trucks TA uses and he pointed out the 680. It was problebly one of the new drivers that HB was getting hounded by about her truck when she turned it in.

 

Left Breezewood PA around 5am yesterday. Couldn't believe The J didnt have DEF. AT ALL. WTH? Anyway, went to Ellwood City to Adams mfg. Got 11000 lbs of what looked like recycle bins, the home sized ones. Tight streets leaving there. Even saw a sign prohibiting anything longer than 28 foot trailers. By the time you see the signs, what are ya gonna do? I just went slow and watched my mirrors and left the town standing up as I came in. No Shamokin house demos for me. Was trying to make it past Louisville KY but hit a snarl at the 21 mm on I 71 and this on my last hour of both my 14 and 11. Got off on the 18 and backtracked 10 miles to the 28. Two Pilots on the same stop. Left 38 minutes on my clock. Consider it a moral victory. Gonna make Little Rock AR today maybe farther. Gonna get my tractor washed weather pending. As much as I hate to pay out of pocket, I am ashamed to keep driving it like this much less getting seen in it. Looks like Chevy Chase' ride in VACATION. It gets a bath in West Memphis or Little Rock BLUE BEACON. After I drop in Mount Vernon TX tomorrow morning, they may bring me in to the Rockwall Yard. Everyone enjoy your weekend. Deuces.

 

Hey everyone hope all is well !!! thanks for welcoming me back but I really never left. I was on here as much as possible but spent the Holidays in the Philippines and been real busy since we got back here to Korea.

Seems like a few new people on here and some getting ready to start working for TA , must be exciting to start a new career. I wish you all the best and appreciate the info you all share on here.

I have been on a 10 year contract here in Korea and this year they just extended it for one more year and told us there will be no raises this year and they did away with giving us $ 1500 a year for travel.

I am sure we will probably get a new 10 yr contract after the bidding is done or if another company gets the contract I am sure they will keep most of us mechanics .

But still have a interest in driving a truck. It may never happen or I could just say I have had enough and come back to the states at any time and go to CDL school.

If I ever do decide to drive I can only hope Cranky is my trainer , mentor , or should I say tor-mentor .
