Can't find to much of them on here but recruiter came back to our school this week and looks like there pay is raised to .32 a mile starting out... But what really caught my eye was the they have a brand new dedicated run from Syracuse to Buffalo and lots of home time. Paying $20 bucks a hour.

Are they a really good company to start out with??

They seem ok talking with the recruiter but I was told to think the opposite of what they say.

see it in print but being just out of school its hard to get a dedicated run but then again syracuse to buffalo is not a garden run in the winter

Hi j, that's funny. They did have those cabover Freightliners that looked like they were going uphill all the time. To the OP, H.O.Wolding is a good, family type company, and has been around a long time. They used to haul a lot of paper out of Wisconsin, and think they still do, but probably do other stuff. I recommend them. BTW, they have since gotten nicer trucks.

I'm not sure they pay $20 hour when you're jack-knifed in the median waiting on tow truck and plows, but you can ask.

New drivers? Syracuse to Buffalo dedicated? Winter season? What could possibly go wrong?

They had those FLDs that looked like someone built a homemade sleeper on them too. But I never heard their drivers complaining either.

I know one driver I ran into in the past. Said he joined H.O.W. because he was a Denver Broncos fan (colors)---but also said he was doing well, and was there to stay.

I've read a few complaints on here about them...but very few. I never gave them a second look because I am not a fan of the Northeast, and they go there A LOT. Almost exclusively.

I might have started out in that same truck in 92 lol. OP, look into that dedicated gig from Syracuse to Buffalo for $20/hr. Not bad for starters.
