Studebaker, thanks for the tip. which bags do you recommend? Where'd you buy yours? I have a BikeFriday folding bike, but I'm sure a bag for regular bikes will work.

This reminds me of an old movie I saw when I was a kid. There was a trucker who would do dumbbell curls while in the cab. Anyone remember this movie? lol

I was just watching the season premiere of Celebrity Apprentice, and since I am a fan of the show's original concept (real people competing for a real job), I am anxious for it's return and can see this as a potential project for the show to have the teams develop the concept with a fitness chain and either a truck stop company or a carrier for a smaller 'express' type of club with showers and laundry facilities either on or near company property for exclusive use of employees while 'on the road', but on required off duty time.

I have a gym on my truck with tons of equipment for getting exercise...do pushups, dips, jump rope, stair step on the catwalk, lots of different things using the chains, rain and cold don't bother me, just have to dress for it...after 7 winters with the 10th Mountain Infantry Division, not too much keepse from exercising except myself, got to just do it...and like others have said, I feel better when I do...

Personally, I do not mind cold weather; but since I do not care for snow skiing (water skiing any day of the year), I am not one to seek it out. I would much rather have the use of a full service gym to get a good session in (and a shower, bonus points for laundry facilities and / or a true competition regulation pool (either 50mx25yd (Long course x short course yards), or 25m (short course meters)). There is a difference between dealing with something and actually liking it, and they are often polar opposites (no pun intended).

I can see consulting with a trainer to develop a couple of different routines to accomplish goals: 1 for when a full gym is available, and a 2nd using body weight movements when it is not or time is limited.

That's exercise?? In that case I must be in tremendous shape, since I do that type of exercise every day, and often a couple times a day.

This was posted on Facebook recently about a YALE graduate who nearly qualified to swim at the US Olympic Trials (the qualifying times for trials for 2016 are so fast, you have to go back nearly 20 years in some cases to find an Olympic medalist to qualify with the same time), and then became a driver, who is now competing again...

It is an interesting take on driver's physical fitness.
