I head to Orientation next week and I'm pretty excited. I'm a new driver and it feels like a nice OTR opportunity. Anyone have recent KLLM experience to share or even general comments? Thanks

My boyfriend works there. Seems to be a pretty decent company, they keep him moving, I think that he only had one day of sitting this winter. Equipment seems to be decent, pay is decent, never a hassle with reimbursements, and he always gets home on time, even if it is late in the day. I know that he complains about the Atlanta terminal though and tries to always avoid it when possible.

Thanks for the note - I'll be coming back here to post about my experience soon. --thanks, cj.

Leannamarie, can you tell me why the KLLM terminal in Atlanta is so bad. I have seen serveral posts about it but no one ever says why. If I end up with KLLM I will be doing my orientation at that terminal. Thank you in advance for any info you can provide.

He says that the service people are inept, everyone there is rude, the terminal itself is dirty, and he hates being there because then he falls under their dispatch.

KLLM has been very good to me as well, I only get upset when i don't get the 3500 + miles/wk and they allways get me home a day to soon and I don't like the Atlanta yard either. The Southeast Regional is ran out of Atlanta and they do things somewhat different out there, most of the drivers I know deslike it as much. They have a different pay scale out there, percentage, so their drivers take priority, once you are there you'll fall under their dispatch and end up sitting 1-2 days and even longer at times, to add insult to injury, it feels like you are not welcome, from dispatch, mechanics, drivers and even the fuel island attendants are prejudice towards non Atlanta drivers, of course not all but most, add the "we don't want to be there" factor to the situation and you might get the picture. Dallas was awsome, Fontana is excellent, Jackson is always fun and Portage is good but Atlanta, no thanks. -
Boy it appears that things have changed a bunch in Atlanta. I worked for KLLM in 1997, and was out of the atlanta yard. Anita was my dispatcher(which shes no longer there). They treated me very well. I hate to hear that its went down hill.
